My reservation Number is 3027304--00. On 05/22/14 A message was left on my voice mail giving me a number to contact about a change in my up coming travel. I did so immediately. My comments are not about the change, which I do regret, but about a related issue. The change in travel required a change in my flight plans. There was some difficulty in this, due to agent error, but it was resolved. ... Read more

My husband and I were due to travel with Grand Circle for the second time this past April. However, this time we had to cancel our trip due to an injury to my wife. We gave GCT the courtesy of letting them know, 11 days in advance, that we were unable to travel. They informed us there would be no refund, which we were aware. They were paid in full for our trip along with the 8 other passengers... Read more

We trusted the company to arrange our travel to Helsinki, Finland from Tampa Florida (including a river cruise from St. Petersberg to Moscow). Tampa to JFK, JFK to Charles Degaulle, Paris and then on to Helsinki. We had a 4hour stopover in Paris AND it took us 2 hours to get from one terminal to another. there was absolutely no need to have sent us to Paris. There are direct flights from... Read more

GRAND CIRCLE TRAVEL IS A CHEAT. WE BOOKED A RIVER TRIP IN FRANCE FOR MAY 2014. IT IS NOW MAY 2013. MY WIFE HAD A SERIOUS STROKE AND THEY STILL DOCKED US $300/PERSON, YES $600 FOR HAVING TO CANCEL OVER A YEAR IN ADVANCE. THE EMPLOYEE just did not care. I will never book anything with them again. We had airline tickets which Delta Airline did not charge a penalty. We get to use the total cost... Read more

Grand Circle Travel (GCT) seems to play a few nasty 'games' -- cheating its customers!!! 1. When flying on a commercial airline, booked through GCT, they negotiate a deal (to increase their profit margin) which also PRECLUDES the traveler from getting FREQUENT FLYER credits!! Moreover, GCT has a ploy to award a small number of point i.e. around 5% of the total mileage, in order to elude 'getting... Read more

Upon returning from China, last week, we found out that the tour operator: Grand Circle Tours (GCT)of Boston is perpetrating a FRAUD!! We have been victimized by a scheme to cut into our Delta Airline mileage credit.According to delta, GCT -- who charged us $1300 per person for the round trip to China -- has negotiated a 'back door' deal. They agree to have our individual frequent flyer... Read more

I canceled a trip with Grand Circle Travel because of a change in finances. I purchased travel insurance at the time of booking. I had not even received the travel documents before I was forced to cancel my plans. I did not get the opportunity to read the terms of the insurance agreement. When I cancelled the trip, Grand Circle kept $475 of my money and told me to file a claim for the balance.... Read more

If clients are wondering why they feel short changed, they should try working for Grand Circle Travel. Alan and Harriett Lewis have fostered an environment of fear and loathing amongst employees which results in massive firings and low morale all because they have no business plan, nor any concern for their travelers. They only care about the bottom line and claiming that they help others. ... Read more
